About Norma Ward
I have a passion for working with women and families to enable them to obtain an environment that promotes health, wholeness and healing. I enjoy teaching the concept of wellness to my client's while being a catalyst for their growth and change.
In-depth experience in and knowledge of women's health issues including reproductive health, family planning, domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
Norma is CEO and Co-Founder of Progressive Transition(s) Inc., a domestic violence program located in Oakland, California.
She is the recipient of the 2012 Jefferson Award for Public Service and is a Commissioner on the Alameda County Public Health Commission, District 5. Norma is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Oakland Bay Area Chapter, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Berkeley Bay Area Chapter.
